Thomas Bender, MD, FAAD, ABD is a Board-Certified dermatologist with Advanced Dermatology and Skin Care Centre. He was awarded the Patients’ Choice Award in 2011, 2012, and 2014 and has also won the Most Compassionate Doctor Award in 2014. He has been featured on many local television stations and was asked to be featured on “The Doctors” TV Show. He is a national speaker for photodynamic therapy.
DR. RONALD JOHNSTON, MD, FAAD, ABD
Ronald Johnston, MD, is a Board-certified Dermatologist who specializes in clinical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology, and is highly skilled in the use of medical lasers for both cosmetic and traditional procedures.
Dr. Johnston is an acknowledged expert in his field. He was the author of an international dermatology textbook in 2012 and numerous articles in peer review journals over the years. Additionally, Dr. Johnston is an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD).
ALAN “BO” STANFORD, MD, FAAD, ABD, FACMS
Dr. Stanford is a Board-certified Dermatologist and earned his B.S. degree in Forestry Management from Mississippi State University before earning his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Virginia and dermatology residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Stanford devoted over ten years of his medical career to serving in the United States Navy and has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a fellow member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Alabama Dermatology Society, and the Academy of Mohs Surgeons. DR. VIRGINIA REEDER, MD, FAAD, ABD
Dr. Reeder is a Board-certified Dermatologist that attended the University of Virginia, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and earned multiple honors including her undergraduate degree with Distinction with a Major in History and a Minor in French. She received her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, where she became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then completed two years of residency training in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as a Dermatology residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was Chief Resident. She also completed a fellowship in photo medicine, lasers and follicular disorders in the Department of Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles in peer reviewed journals. Additionally, she has given presentations at various national and international Dermatology conferences. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, including children and adults. Dr. Reeder practices both cosmetic and general dermatology including vaginal rejuvenation. Dr. Reeder performs any types of dermal injectable fillers including: Botox, Kybella, Juvederm, Restalyne, Restylane DeFyne and ReFyne, Voluma, an Volbella. She treats all types of skin conditions and disorders including: acne, actinic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma, cysts, dermatitis, eczema, rashes, skin cancer, squamous cell carcinoma.
DR. CARY DUNN, MD, FAAD, FACMS
Cary L. Dunn, MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship Trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon.
Dr. Dunn received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and his medical degree from Columbia University on scholarship from the US Army. He continued his post-doctoral education with an internship at Brooke Army Medical Center followed by a residency in Dermatology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Dunn completed a one year fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery under the direction of Dr. John Zitelli and Dr. David Broadland, who are both past Presidents of The American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Dunn is Board-Certified by The American Board of Dermatology. He is a Fellow of The American Academy of Dermatology and The American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Dunn has been practicing for over 25 years and has successfully completed 30,000 Mohs cases.
DR. NORA KACHATUROFF, MD, FAAD
Dr. Kachaturoff was born in Detroit, Michigan and headed west with her parents at age 5, to grow up in Southern California. She enjoyed swimming in the ocean and hiking and camping in the mountains and deserts. She lived in California until the completion of a BA in Chemistry and BS in Biology at University of California at Irvine.
She moved to the East coast to attend the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. For Dr. Kachaturoff, New York was quite an experience! She hiked the neighborhoods and parks of the “Big City” and spent a lot of time looking for Mexican food in New York City…It had not yet arrived in 1979!
Returning full circle to Detroit in 1980, she completed her specialty training at Henry Ford Hospital and Medical Center. After board certification, she spent a short time working for another dermatologist before opening her own practice in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI where she remained in solo dermatology practice until 2016.
After that, still interested in dermatology, she investigated other options and found a perfect fit in locum tenens work. While offering the joy of treating patients, it allows part-time work and the opportunity to explore diverse areas of the country for several weeks or months at a time. She is looking forward to her upcoming time in Mobile, a new city to discover!

Gregory Sharp, PA-C
Greg Sharp is a Certified Physician’s Assistant in our Alabama clinics. In addition to dermatology, he has extensive experience in wound care and surgery. Greg grew up in Mobile, where he graduated from Murphy High School, and attended undergraduate at Auburn University. He then attended the University of South Alabama for Physician Assistant Sciences school where he earned a Master of Health Sciences. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a Fellow of the Alabama Association of Physician Assistants. Greg has been practicing in the field of dermatology for 6 years, he specializes in both general and cosmetic dermatology. He treats many types of common skin conditions such as: acne, actinic keratosis, cysts, dermatitis, eczema, hyperpigmentation, molluscum, psoriasis, vitiligo, and warts. During his free time, Greg enjoys the outdoors and volunteering in the community.
Jessica Davis, PA-C
Jessica grew up in the gulf coast area. After graduating from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. Jessica has been practicing in dermatology for over fifteen years. She has a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences.
Jessica believes her role as a Physician Assistant allows her to help, serve, and show compassion towards others-which are qualities she believes in! Jessica finds it a rewarding experience each day to build relationships with patients, develop their treatment plans, and visually follow up during their improvement process.

Kellie Toth, PA-C
Kellie Toth has lived on the Gulf Coast most of her life. She grew up in Fairhope, beginning at the age of five. She earned her Bachelor of Science and then completed her Masters degree in the Physician Assistant program at the University of South Alabama. She is board-certified with NCCPA, and she is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Alabama Society of Physician Assistants. Following graduation, she practiced in multiple specialties for a couple years. Missing home, she returned to the gulf coast and spent nine years in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. In the summer of 2016, she transitioned into dermatology by joining Advanced Dermatology and couldn’t be happier! She finds great pleasure in serving the needs of the citizens of the Gulf coast. Outside of work, she loves being a mother and a wife, and loves the outdoors. The perfect day for Kellie would include her family, a hike, and a sail on the bay at sunset!

Erin Risco, NP-C is a Mobile native with 5 years experience in the field of Dermatology. Heather Dunn, ARNP
Heather Dunn is a graduate of Georgetown University. Her academic accolades span from her undergraduate accomplishments through graduate school. Heather was inducted into both Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor society.
Heather specializes in surgical dermatology and skin cancer detection. She has worked in dermatology for ten years and is proud to represent Forefront Dermatology in the Advanced Dermatology and Skin Care Center.
Heather is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Association. Heather is a Board member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Sarasota County Affiliate and is an equestrian and fitness enthusiast.
Elizabeth Simpson, PA-C
Elizabeth grew up in the gulf coast area. She graduated from the University of South Alabama where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. She then received a Masters of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Alabama. She has been practicing as a physician assistant since 2008 and been in the field of dermatology for over five years.
She is a member of the Alabama Society of Dermatology Professionals, the Alabama Society of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is BLS and ACLS certified. She enjoys photography, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her husband and two daughters. Cameron Bass -PA-C
Cameron is a certified Physician Assistant, born and raised in Birmingham, AL. She is a proud graduate of the University of South Alabama PA program class of 2018 and is the recipient of the Valedictorian Dean’s Award for her class. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Alabama where she was also a member of the Crimson Tide Swimming Team. She is honored to serve in the US Military as a PA for the Army Reserves. After her PA Master’s graduation, Cameron worked for a time in the ICU at UAB hospital obtaining critical care experience but is excited to return to her first love in medicine in the Dermatology specialty. Cameron is excited to be joining the Florida Forefront Dermatology team through Advanced Dermatology to begin a lifelong career in Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Association of Physician Assistants.
In her spare time, Cameron enjoys beach days (using lots of sunscreen of course), SEC football weekends (Roll Tide) and going for long walks/runs with her dog, Honey.

Megan Harris, PA-C
Megan Harris grew up in the Tampa Bay area and attended the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. While in the physician assistant program, Megan was awarded the Outstanding Academic Student award. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Megan found her passion for dermatology at a young age and started working in the dermatology setting as a college student and continued to pursue that passion following graduation from the physician assistant program. She has over 8 years of experience in dermatology and enjoys treating patients of all ages and loves the many aspects of dermatology. Megan and her family live in the Fairhope area and in her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Elizabeth - Licensed Esthetician
Elizabeth is a native Mobilian who returned home after spending 20 years in Connecticut.
She always had an interest in aesthetics, so when she returned home to Mobile she decided to go back to school to learn as much as she could in this field. Elizabeth has worked for Advanced Dermatology for the past four years.

Holly - Certified Laser Technician
Holly received both her Bachelor’s (2001) and Master’s (2003) degree from The University of South Alabama in Early Childhood Special Education. She was granted the honor of being chosen as Outstanding Early Childhood Special Education Student for both degrees. She also received training and certification in Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology in 2008. Holly had a successful career in both the Public and Private sector of education as a Teacher, Behavior Analyst, School Director and Adjunct Professor.
In 2018 Holly decided to explore other career options and attended the National Laser Institute in Dallas Texas where she was trained in all Modalities of Laser as well as other areas of Medical Aesthetics. Her specialties include, but are not limited to; Coolscultping, Laser Hair Reduction, Laser Resurfacing, Micorneedling, and Tattoo Removal. She is excited to be working with Advanced Dermatology and the fabulous technology the practices offers.
